We welcome the government’s announcement today that all home-based carers (including nannies) will in the future be required to have a qualification in early childhood education. It seems the change is long overdue! The Nanny Academy has been providing qualifications for nannies/home-based carers since 1985. We now offer the NZ Diploma in Early Childhood and Care (L5). which credits to the first year of an Early Childhood Teaching degree. Also the New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (L3/L4).
GOOD NEWS FOR OUR PAST LEVEL 3 GRADUATES.The government says your existing L3 Certificate will count as an accepted qualification. This means you won’t have to complete a new level 4 qualification. We’d love to see you back though, to do our exciting new Diploma (L5) qualification which credits to the 1st year of an Early Childhood Teaching Degree Ask Amanda about it.
